Paradise Center for the Arts wins Minnesota Preservation Alliance Award

I&S Group, Inc., Varley Construction, and Paradise Center for the Arts are honored with preservation award for their roles in the Paradise Center for the Arts Project.

Faribault, Minnesota, September 19, 2008 – I&S Group, Inc. (I&S), Varley Construction, and the Paradise Center for the Arts received awards from the Minnesota Preservation Alliance for their roles in the preservation and restoration of the historic Paradise Theater located in downtown Faribault, Minnesota.

The 24th Annual Minnesota Preservation Awards were held at the Carleton College Concert Hall in Northfield, Minnesota on Friday, September 19. During this ceremony, The Paradise Center for the Arts was honored as one of 2008’s outstanding preservation projects.

Awards were presented to 15 special projects from across the state representing excellence in preservation. Awards were presented based on the merit they provide to their community. The efforts of I&S Group, Varley Construction, and the Paradise Center for the Arts along with dozens of community volunteers resulted in a special award for Restoration / Rehabilitation work.

A total of 33 nominations were received, representing everything from small, community-led projects to large-scale, high-profile rehabilitation efforts. The jury assembled by the Preservation Alliance included professionals in architecture, archaeology, history, and historic preservation.

I&S was proud to team with contractor Varley Construction and the Paradise Center for the Arts to complete this wonderful community project that was presented with this distinguished award.
