David represents a new generation of professional growth, collaborative expertise, and technical accountability. His effective leadership and extensive design experience with Iowa’s municipal water and wastewater systems helps him provide communities with focused services from the development of preliminary engineering reports through final plans and construction administration. In addition, he also helps make such improvements possible by assisting cities with the application process for grants and loans.
With an emphasis in the public works sector, David has obtained extensive experience as a municipal project manager and engineering leader. Driven to deliver high quality solutions that are tailored to the goals and vision of his clients, David incorporates localized needs with water utility components, planning sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water, and wastewater treatment facility projects around issues that matter most. He provides a depth of knowledge based on his work with street, infrastructure, and utility extension projects for various industrial, municipal, commercial, and residential clients.
Leading both the Algona and Storm Lake offices, David exhibits exceptional leadership skills, and his ability to build strong relationships with design teams, contractors, and the public serves clients well and keeps projects moving forward. As the City Engineer of record for the Iowa communities of Correctionville, Cushing, Pierson, and Moville, David brings a broad perspective that integrates budgets, planning, and prioritization – issues that communities face every day.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Iowa State University. An active member in the American Waterworks Association, Water Environment Federation, and multiple honor societies, David expands his understanding of current issues and engages with the academic communities around him.
