DownloadsWith the rapidly changing landscape in health care, Minnesota Valley Health Center is determined to continue to provide outstanding local health care with regional access to specialty care. I&S Group has completed the design of two major improvements to the facility – an emergency services addition, and the expansion of the clinic and lobby area.
The existing emergency facilities lacked privacy, had poor circulation for staff and families, and had ambulance facilities located some distance from the emergency services area. The revised plan, designed to integrate with future clinic and main entrance improvements, included a new ambulance bay, waiting and reception areas, and improved circulation.
The improvements also allowed for a consolidation of administrative offices in a previously unfinished lower level. Full buildout of this space into a cost effective and comfortable office space was included in this project.
Site improvements included the addition of convenient and accessible parking, stormwater infiltration areas, and coordination with the existing helipad.
To continue to provide high quality health care to the region, Minnesota Valley Health Center, in cooperation with their care partners, committed to a long term master plan including expansion of the clinic and improvements to the entrance, lobby, and reception areas.
The new expansion includes significant additional space, improvements to patient privacy and convenience, and updated technology. The new space houses 23 exam rooms, along with associated procedure, lab, and administrative spaces. The airy lobby provides an inviting space for patients and visitors as they arrive through the new entrance, which is protected from the elements by a large canopy.
A new visitor parking area and convenient patient drop off area are now conveniently located. Staff also appreciate the additional parking space near employee entrances.
