Lincoln Community Center has been a landmark in the historic Lincoln Park neighborhood of Mankato since the 1920's. The building has undergone a number of improvements over the years, but the aging window systems were causing high energy bills and uncomfortable conditions for those using the building.
I&S Group designed the $700,000 project to replace the existing single pane, aluminum frame windows with energy efficient thermally broken aluminum frames and double pane low-E glass. With a surface area of over 12,000 square feet, the improved window system is anticipated to provide a significant energy savings and increase in building comfort.
3D Laser Scanning was used to collect detailed information without the need for scaffolding or other exterior lifts, and allowed for easy office measurements.
"Thank you for your skilled handling of this project from start to finish. I appreciate your attention to detail and dedication to making sure the final list of 'yet to do details' was comprehensive."
