Metro Waste Authority Material Recovery Facility

To accommodate Iowa’s urban population growth, Metro Waste Authority invested in a new recycling facility, which houses state-of-the-art equipment, capable of sorting and baling 45,000 tons of recyclables each year. A multi-purpose space on the upper-level overlooks recycling operations and offers hands-on learning stations to educate the community on how their recycling materials impact the environment. Modern finishes, natural light, and a tall glass lobby welcomes visitors and staff alike.
