The City of Prior Lake selected I&S to design Fire Station No. 2 in the Jeffer’s Pond Neighborhood. The site is located near the intersection of County Roads 42 and 21.
The fire station consists of three drive-through apparatus bays supported by several offices, conference rooms, lockers, specialty rooms, and parking to be used by the Fire and Police Departments and Allina Ambulance. Fire Station No. 2 conforms in style, materials, and architectural design to the Jeffer’s Waterfront standards.
The site selected for the station provided specific challenges to provide the necessary grades and turning radii of the equipment. I&S worked with the City to ensure that adjacent street improvements were coordinated with the development of the fire station.
