RITCHIE BROS.

I&S began working with Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers in January of 2007, when market analysis led Ritchie Bros. to consider sites along the I-35 corridor in Southern Minnesota for a new auction facility to replace an existing site that lacked expansion opportunities.

I&S assisted Ritchie Bros. with determining the best use of a 120 acre site to ensure the site was developed to meet their space needs, their goals for high visibility from I-35, and plans to accommodate future growth. I&S also identified various financial incentives that would be applicable for the project.

I&S prepared complete development plans for 70 acres by providing Land Surveying, Natural Resources Management, Civil Engineering, Land Planning, and Construction Administration for the project. The plans also take into consideration an additional 50 acres purchased by Ritchie Bros. for future expansion of the site.

I&S provided representation during public meetings as well as those with government officials and reviewing authorities. Various promotional materials were also prepared by I&S to assist Ritchie Bros. with the approvals process.

Construction Administration and Coordination was a particularly important aspect of the Ritchie Bros. project since their corporate headquarters is based in British Columbia, Canada. Ritchie Bros. trusted I&S to keep their best interests in mind while representing them to contractors and local officials, and I&S also worked to keep them informed of all project developments.

In addition, I&S provided various contractors working on the project with construction staking services which were expedited by our prior knowledge of the project.
