I&S Group has added 3D Laser Scanning services to complement its full line of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural, and building engineering services.
Three dimensional laser scanning makes it possible for surveyors to capture existing conditions of structures and formations with a degree of accuracy and completeness not formerly achievable—and to do so quickly and safely.
The scanner provides a “point cloud” of millions of discrete points and an associated georeferenced photograph of the survey area. The resulting data can be used in a variety of ways, including the generation of three-dimensional models, accurate measurements, volume calculations, and comparative analysis. This method also allows for the safe capture of this data in congested, hazardous, or hard to reach areas.
