ABRA Auto Body & Glass

Various Locations

20,000 Square Feet

Serving as the corporate architecture and engineering firm for ABRA auto body and glass repair facilities nationwide requires the ongoing renovation of existing buildings as well as the design of a new prototype facility. The process of building and renovating facilities around the country entails working closely with the client, their development consultants, construction manager, various local subcontractors and material suppliers, city administrators and building code officials. With an assigned Project Manager to be the single point of contact for ABRA and all its consultants ensures proper lines of communication, coordination of disciplines, quality control and efficient, experience-based management of all projects.

Through the use of an integrated design approach, various structural, mechanical and electrical systems are continually analyzed, and the most efficient and cost effective systems are incorporated into each design. The extensive amount of specialized work areas and equipment requires careful coordination of HVAC and dust collection systems, water and air systems, electrical systems, and lighting design. Implementation of an easy to use dust collection system in the body shop now minimizes rework and creates a healthier environment for the employees. Energy recovery systems for the mechanical equipment and advanced lighting controls are installed to improve overall facility operating efficiency and maximize equipment performance and longevity.

The consistent national presence represented in each location helps make a significant contribution to the success of the franchise.
