A collaboration to improve the shared athletic fields and facilities on the campuses of Waldorf College and the School District were completed with cooperation from the City and Hanson Foundation. A site analysis and topographic survey for each campus was initiated and facilitation of a stakeholder group determined the necessary improvements. Using this information, a stormwater and drainage master plan to facilitate the design of subsequent upgrades for each site was created. A phased schedule for the design and construction of each identified improvement was implemented. In addition to providing planning and design services for each improvement, a construction administration and inspections plan was coordinated to ensure that the goals of the stakeholders were upheld.

This project includes five phases: synthetic turf field with mass grading bleacher relocation; track resurfacing and synthetic turf field and athletic field lighting; ball field reconfiguration with irrigation, fencing and synthetic turn infield; new track and associated field events; improved storm water conveyance through the property; and new concessions and restroom buildings. Together, they provide a shared, multi-use athletic campus that serves an entire community.
