Part of Mankato’s largest downtown development in nearly two decades, the construction of Ridley Tower was a part of a multi-project expansion that is located within walking distance of Mankato’s business and entertainment district. ISG provided full design and construction administration services in preparation for the new five-story building to increase commercial and office space in the downtown area.
With nearly 50,000 square feet of Class A office space, this building serves as the new headquarters to Mankato-based Ridley, Inc., and is also home to Northwestern Mutual. The exterior compliments the aesthetic of Profinium Place Tower, as both buildings anchor opposite corners and feature the same expansive glazing and aluminum composite metal panels. Ridley Tower provides convenient, on-site covered parking for its many tenants with 280 ramp stalls and access to local throughways and State highways. After passing through Ridley Tower’s glass entry, visitors are welcomed into the reception area and lobby with contemporary lines and dimensional accent tile in crisp white and dark gray, while a pop of blue that accentuates the stairwell. This pattern and color scheme continue throughout the building. A fifth floor conference room provides additional meeting and gathering space for tenants, and features a white quartz countertop contrasted with dark maple casework. To maximize natural light in the offices, designs feature floor-to-ceiling windows.
The addition of Ridley Tower has expanded the availability of jobs in downtown Mankato, serving as a catalyst for urban renewal.
