Nick Ellenberger, PE, LEED AP
Associate Principal, Senior Project Manager
With over eleven years of experience, Nick provides a strong structural engineering presence for ISG. With a particular expertise in industrial, agribusiness and food processing facilities, Nick provides both structural design and project management services including analyzing existing structures for updates and efficiencies, and designing new ones. His recent projects include steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures for multiple types of facilities. Nick understands our important role to improve operations and ultimately strengthen the client’s bottom-line and brand. This often requires meeting the facility’s production timelines and designing unique structural systems with project phasing options to minimize production down-time. For food production facilities, Nick recognizes the necessity for the cleanability of facilities and the stringent USDA and FDA regulations that must be met. He provides designs to effectively and efficiently meet these and other industry-related requirements.
In addition to work as a design engineer, Nick also works as a project manager. His primary responsibilities include coordinating design between disciplines, conducting design and construction meetings with clients and contractors, and acting as the client’s representative throughout the construction process to completion. His vast experience and involvement with complex projects allows him to understand and solve challenging project issues related to structural design, technical integration, long-range scheduling, budgetary requirements and project needs management.
