This 240-acre development in Dundas, MN is surrounded by rural landscape and overlooks the Cannon River Valley. One of the many assets homeowners enjoy is a panoramic valley view from the majority of lots. The first phase of the project consists of 105 acres with 127 single-family homes and 230 multi-family town homes.
In the early stages of site development the project faced many design challenges. There was a lack of water pressure because the existing water-main and water-tower were approximately 100 feet lower than the site. A two pump booster station was installed to supply up to 700 gallons per minute of fire flow and provide the residences with adequate water pressure. The project also required addressing sixteen different types of soils; moving a township road; electrical distribution; limited access, and constrained utility corridors. The development required a new well, water tower, and a large sanitary sewer lift station. As the design became a reality, the obstacles are now invisible to the residents who enjoy the view from their new homes.
