Pocahontas County Master Trails Plan

Pocahontas County Master Trails Plan

Pocahontas County, IA

ISG’s design, community planning, and marketing teams are currently working with MIDAS Council of Governments, Pocahontas County, and the Pocahontas County Economic Development Commission to develop a comprehensive Master Trails System for the County. Winding and weaving through the County’s greatest outdoor gems, the Pocahontas County Trails System will provide the perfect experience for day-trip visitors and weekend-trail travelers alike. Users will be able to safely drop off cars at any of the system’s multiple parking areas, be greeted by clearly defined water, trail, bicycle, and equestrian access locations, and travel along the eight distinct corridors that span the County from east to west and connect users with the Iowa Great Lakes Region. In addition to planning and design of the Master Trails System, ISG is also assisting with the development of marketing and informational materials to help build support and excitement around the project.
